If you meet your puppy doing something bad, business firm but gentle subject field is required. If y'all see your puppy doing something good, praise them and requite them a treat. If you do not practice this, the puppy will learn that it tin can go away with some things and get a lot harder to re-railroad train.

Right when you bring your puppy dwelling house, show them where they are allowed to go. When they exercise go, praise them and requite them a reward. Exercise not let them get away with any accident they have. I know it may not seem like a big deal, simply if yous don't make boundaries clear, the puppy will start to prefer a certain spot over the spot you've designated.

When grooming huskies, some people prefer using a wide-tooth comb followed by a natural bristle brush. Some people fright that the comb pulls too much on the skin, so they rely mainly on a slicker brush.

I take chickens....and oh boy. When we outset got my siberian husky mix puppy, she killed i of my chicks. It wasnt a lilliputian 1, about half matured, and I found it in her "kill spot" where she takes all of the expressionless animals she finds. It was horrific for me to see, because it was the one chick I was closest with. She had de-headed it and left it at that place. I guess she got bored. But yeah, information technology was bad. I also have 2 cats that will crush her up if she gets close to them, and then it doesn't worry me as much.

When I grab her when she peeing in the wrong spot, she pees more! I feel that disciple will brand her more anxious and shy. What should I exercise? Also, the breeder failed to tell me she didn't accept a hip socket. I honey her so much and didn't want to give her dorsum. So what are my options for her?
Thank you for whatever advise!!!!

I have a husky at present, had a mutt before to be honest I really think each dogs temperament volition be completely different from the other. All the same equally puppies they are pretty much the same. I feel my husky responds to training and stimuli the aforementioned as any other domestic dog. I feel a bigger difference happen between small breeds and medium or large breeds as smaller breeds seem far more than difficult to train and require more consistency. Dogs respond to confident pack leaders regardless of breed if yous hesitate or feel insecure in any way the domestic dog specially a loftier intelligence domestic dog will encounter this immediately and will disobey you. Think of it like substitute teachers they have no authority, and they're normally not trained in the field of study they're substituting for as a result most students sense the insecurity and normally don't respect them so they tend to misbehave whenever they're assigned one. your dog feels the same way if he senses weakness in you he will misbehave and try to take over every bit pack leader.

Because this is well written and knowledgeable, and it not only warns of pitfalls in grooming and maintaining it offers deportment to answer to those pitfalls, I recollect this hub is both useful and interesting. When I was a little boy I had a dog named Stasho, a Russian Shepherd. I love dogs but I tin can't have anywhere I alive. I like Siberian Huskies and I will get one when I can one day and this hub has introduced me to certain aspects of my determination that I accept non thought through, and for that I cheers, and I vote this hub up.

Thank you for all this good data. I dearest dogs but our place is so small and I am out of the house a lot of hours, and then I take kitties! Cheers for sharing these beauftiful pictures, too! up+
SaffronBlossom from Dallas, Texas on Jan 06, 2013:
Totally agree about the different personalities and how that affects training! I've had two beagles since I left dwelling house, and the first was a terror--crazy free energy, destructive, very resistant to training--then the second was close to a dream--low-primal, trained easily, and pretty well behaved except for his tendency to steal nutrient. :) Both sweetness dogs but such different temperaments! Interesting hub, and your canis familiaris is ambrosial!
Amanda Brumbelow (author) from Camas, WA on January 04, 2013:
I learned that the hard way. My mom let our husky run wild once and she refused to get back on the leash for a good thirty minutes. Nosotros had to catch her in guild to exercise and then!
The Logician from then to now on on January 04, 2013:
Huskies are highly intelligent and so get bored hands. For best results training should be for curt intervals (x - 15 minutes) and each time in different (new) surroundings and by all members of the family. You must start at weaning by putting your hand in their food when they are eating and non tolerating any nutrient agression beliefs. Any growl should incurr discipline (a poke or if necessary a jerk of the scruff of their neck or a squeeze of their ear) at an early historic period or blastoff traits will have over and the domestic dog WILL dominate you.
I knew a trainer who was training a Croaking for prove and the dog refused to perform each beliefs subsequently it was taught what to do. They stopped the training thinking the dog was just not going to respond. A yr later the owner brought the dog back and to their amazement the dog responded to all the commands perfectly. Why? Fifty-fifty though he learned everything he was taught, he was just besides bored with the trainer's routine to care, same onetime place, same old repitition.
Huskies were bred for centuries by the Chukchi natives solely to run and pull sleds long distances, not for protection then they respond differently than dogs like German Shepherds. The most important thing you tin railroad train a Husky to do is to come on command or else NEVER let them off leash or unconfined - you may never meet them again every bit they will run every bit far as they tin can get and never notice their way home similar other breeds.

I enjoyed this hub and found it useful. Every domestic dog is an individual but there are some traits that will exist stronger in unlike breeds. This was a prissy starter for people who are interested in what having a Husky might entail. Thanks for sharing.

I concord! Huskies are very social and practise very well in a family with lots of children. Even so, I did not comprehend that in my article. I forgot to add that, so cheers! Every bit to training and behavior, all dogs are different. I am glad yous were lucky and got huskies that were like shooting fish in a barrel to train. I however, wasn't so lucky. I found that being consequent really helped preparation my croaking. Thanks for the suggestion, but I believe my hub is fine.
Jennifer Angel on January 03, 2013:
Not exactly, Siberian Huskies are very social dogs and practise better in families with multiple aged children. They are piece of cake to train and more than willing to do what you want them to practice. They learn super quick and love going to school. Your hub is not right and I really think you need to search and research more. I had my Huskies for years and none of what you say hither meshes with my dogs.
